Regular Season Round 7: Dziki Wwa - Polonia W-wa 76-58

Very expected game in Warszawa where 16th ranked Polonia (1-6) was defeated by third ranked Dziki (6-1) 76-58 on Wednesday. Dziki dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Polonia's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Mateusz Bartosz (205-1987) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Michal Aleksandrowicz (192-1989) helped adding 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Dziki players scored in double figures. At the losing side Patryk Pelka (202-1989) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Marcin Wielunski (197-1996) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dziki maintains third place with 6-1 record behind leader Radom. Polonia lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Bytom. Dziki will meet Turow (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Polonia will play against the league's leader HydroTruck and hope to win that game.
