There was no surprise when 11th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (3-5) was defeated at home by ninth ranked ADA Blois (5-3) 101-88 on Friday. ADA Blois shot 61.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. ADA Blois looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when ADA Blois made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Mali forward Amadou Sow (206-1998, college: UCSB) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and American forward Tyren Johnson (201-1988, college: Louisiana) who added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. American DJ Seeley (193-1989, college: CS Fullerton) responded with 19 points and 6 assists and his fellow American import JaJuan Johnson (208-1989, college: Purdue) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five ADA Blois and four Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ADA Blois moved-up to sixth place, which they share with ASVEL. Loser Gravelines-Dunkerque keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with Nancy. ADA Blois will meet at home league's second-placed Cholet Basket in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#17) and hope to secure a win.
