There was no surprise in Paris where 14th ranked CFBB (1-8) was defeated by eleventh ranked Lorient (4-5) 66-53 on Friday. Lorient had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized Guinean forward Abdoulaye Sy (201-1995) stepped up and scored 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and American-Mali forward Ibrahim Djambo (209-1992, college: Hofstra) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Lorient players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Maxim Logue (203-2005) with 7 points and 5 rebounds and Yannis Allard (199-2007) scored 10 points. CFBB's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Lorient moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 6 other teams. CFBB lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Lorient will meet at home Berck (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
