Sokol can celebrate finally their first win this season after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Start (3-4) on the road game in Lublin 83-74. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Raynere Thornton (201-1997, college: Memphis, agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. Mateusz Szczypinski (194-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Sherron Dorsey-Walker (195-1993, college: Oakland) answered with 21 points and the other American import forward Cleveland Melvin (203-1991, college: DePaul) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Start. Five Sokol and four Start players scored in double figures. Sokol (1-6) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Twarde Pierniki and Astoria. Start at the other side keeps the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Spojnia and Czarni. Sokol will play against Enea Astoria (#14) in Bydgoszcz in the next round. Start will play on the road against the league's leader WKS Slask (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
