Regular Season Round 6: Helios - Roser 63-74

There was no surprise in Zaragoza where bottom-ranked Helios (0-6) was defeated by eleventh ranked Roser (2-4) 74-63 on Saturday. Roser made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Helios turnovers. Pol Parisi (-1996) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Joan Gavalda (185-1994) chipped in 6 points and 5 assists during the contest. Roser's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Eduardo Ibanez (191-2003) with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds and Jorge Casado (-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Roser moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 10 other teams. Newly promoted Helios still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Roser will meet at home Igualada (#12) in the next round. Helios' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Zaragoza to the arena Olivar.
