Everything went according to plan in Madrid where eighth ranked Alcala (2-2) outleveled bottom-ranked SBA (0-4) 101-75 on Saturday. They outrebounded SBA 42-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Power forward Alvaro Biersack (198-1995) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Daniel Manzanero (197-1994) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin forward Bodin Saranovic (196-2004) with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Pablo Lopez (195-1997) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four SBA players scored in double figures. SBA's coach Alejandro Majarin gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Alcala moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 9 other teams. Newly promoted SBA still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Boadilla. Alcala will meet Tenerife Naut. (#9) in the next round. SBA will play against the league's second-placed Majadahonda (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
