Leader MBK delivered the seventh victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked BB UMB (1-7) 94-30 in Ruzomberok. MBK held BB UMB to an opponent 18.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.1 percent accuracy of the winners. MBK forced 28 BB UMB turnovers and outrebounded them 47-29 including 19 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MBK made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for Kamila Jarosova (176-2003) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. Lucia Hadacova (185-1995) helped adding 4 points, 21 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Four MBK players scored in double figures. At the losing side Klaudia Haberova (174-1999) responded with 9 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Jana Matejcikova (168-1997) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. BB UMB's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for MBK. They maintain first place with 7-1 record, which they share with Piestanske C. BB UMB lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with CBK Kosice. MBK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BB UMB will play against Poprad (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
