Regular Season Round 6: TTT Riga - TalTech 62-65

Fourth-ranked Latvian TTT Riga (0-3) made lots of trouble for first ranked Estonian TalTech (6-3). The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 65-62. However their fans expected easier game. TalTech made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Annika Koster (182-1992) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Katlin Kangur (170-2006) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four TalTech players scored in double figures. Forward Gunta Basko-Melnbarde (182-1980, college: Siena) replied with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and center Marta Miscenko (192-1995, college: Wingate) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for TTT Riga. TTT Riga's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TalTech have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-3 record. Defending Latvian champion TTT Riga still closes the standings with three games lost. TalTech will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TTT Riga will play on the road against Audentes (#12) in Tallin and hopes to get finally their first victory.
