Bottom-ranked Galil Elion managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Bnei Hasharon in Kfar Blum 95-89. Galil Elion made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Jalen Hudson (198-1996, college: Florida) stepped up and scored 31 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and forward Bryce Washington (201-1996, college: Louisiana) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Galil Elion's coach Barak Peleg used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maurice Kemp (203-1991, college: ECU) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Briante Weber (188-1992, college: VCU) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Galil Elion (2-3) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with H.Gilboa Galil and Bnei Hertzeliya. Galil Elion is looking forward to face higher ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bnei Hasharon will play against Hapoel Beer Sheva and is hoping to win this game.
