The game in Sinj was also quite interesting. Third ranked Cibona (6-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Alkar (3-4). Cibona defeated Alkar 81-70 on Sunday. Cibona looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Lovro Mazalin (204-1997) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Serbian Aleksandar Aranitovic (195-1998) helped adding 10 points and 7 assists. Five Cibona players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard George Brock (183-1995, college: SUNO) responded with 27 points and Bosnian center Imran Polutak (209-1996) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Alkar's coach Luka Bujas tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Cibona. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Zadar. Alkar lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Dubrava and Dinamo. Cibona will meet at home league's leader Sibenka in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Alkar will play against Skrljevo (#10) and hope to secure a win.
