The most important game in the last round took place in Rostock between third ranked Seawolves (4-2) and eighteenth ranked Brose Bamberg (1-5) on Sunday night. Seawolves were defeated by Brose Bamberg at home 86-97. Brose Bamberg outrebounded Seawolves 32-19 including 21 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American center Solomon Young (203-1998, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Kevin Wohlrath (197-1995) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Brose Bamberg players scored in double figures. American point guard Tyler Nelson (191-1995, college: Fairfield) replied with 19 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and his fellow American import Derrick Alston Jr (206-1997, college: Boise St.) added 17 points in the effort for Seawolves. Seawolves' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brose Bamberg left bottom position moving up to sixteenth place, which they share with Ulm and Frankfurt. Newly promoted Seawolves dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Oldenburg and Hamburg. Brose Bamberg is looking forward to face Skyliners (#17) in Frankfurt in the next round. Seawolves will play on the road against s Oliver Baskets (#12) in Wuerzburg and are hoping to win this game.
