The most surprising game was the first loss of E.Ramla (3-1) at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were rolled over by sixth ranked M.Haifa (1-2) 97-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of E.Ramla. M.Haifa forced 20 E.Ramla turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by E.Ramla's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Nigerian forward Amy Okonkwo (188-1996, college: TCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-1992, college: FSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five M.Haifa players scored in double figures. American forward Shakira Austin (196-1999, college: Ole Miss, agency: LBM Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and her fellow American import Bernice Mosby (186-1984, college: Baylor) added 16 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for E.Ramla. M.Haifa maintains sixth position with 1-2 record, which they share with ASA Jerusalem and H.Petah Tikva. Defending champion E.Ramla still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with M.Ramat Gan. M.Haifa is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Ramat H. (#10) in Ramat Hasharon in the next round. E.Ramla will play on the road against H.Rishon LZ (#3) in Rishon Le-Zion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
