Regular Season Round 9: Koeln DTV - Bonn 2 73-67

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Bonn 2 (4-5) lost on the road to twelfth ranked Koeln DTV (4-5) 73-67 on Saturday. Point guard Patrick Reusch (185-1993) nailed 22 points and 4 assists for the winning side and American-British guard Elijah Jenkins (190, college: Embry Riddle) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds. Koeln DTV's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jamel McAllister (201-1991, college: WSSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Noah Voelzgen (186-2002) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Bonn 2 in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Koeln DTV. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 10 other teams including defeated Bonn 2. Koeln DTV will meet Muenster 2 (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bonn 2 will play against the league's second-placed Recklinghausen (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
