Regular Season Round 6: VKM - SKM I 70-72

Undefeated VKM (5-1) recorded its first loss in Vilniaus. Hosts were edged by seventh ranked SKM I (4-1) 72-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of VKM. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 7-point deficit before their 23-14 run, which allowed them to win the game. Kristupas Civilis (-2005) notched 26 points to lead the effort and forward Ernestas Matulevic (200-2005) supported him with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Four SKM I players scored in double figures. SKM I's coach Ignas Pagalys allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 25 points by guard Erikas Vansevicius (188-2005) did not help to save the game for VKM. Point guard Emilis Kargertas (183-2005) added 16 points and 9 rebounds. SKM I have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. VKM at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with VKKM. SKM I will play against Perkunas (#8) in Kaunas in the next round. VKM will play at home against Tornado KM (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
