Regular Season Round 9: Naestved - Holbaek 115-78

Leader Naestved delivered the seventh victory. This time they crushed 11th ranked Holbaek (1-8) 115-78. Naestved dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Holbaek's 28 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Naestved forced 21 Holbaek turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Naestved players were unselfish on offense dishing 37 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Holbaek's players. It was a good game for American guard Rodney Chatman (189-1998, college: Vanderbilt) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Ian DuBose (193-1999, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Five Naestved players scored in double figures. American forward Eysan Wiley (195-1999, college: UT Tyler) answered with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists and Gustav Winther (207-2004) added 16 points in the effort for Holbaek. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Naestved maintains first place with 7-1 record. Holbaek lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Naestved will play against league's second-placed Bakken in Aarhus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Holbaek will play at home against Vaerlose (#8) to get more than just one victory in their record.
