Regular Season Round 9: Svendborg - Bakken 81-106

The game in Svendborg supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Bakken (6-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Svendborg (4-4). Bakken smashed Svendborg 106-81 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Svendborg. Bakken shot 60.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Sudanese-Australian forward Deng Adel (201-1997, college: Louisville, agency: Verus Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American guard Tony Carr (196-1997, college: Penn St.) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Bakken players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Bahamas forward Kentwan Smith (203-1991, college: Stetson) with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Devin Whitfield (196, college: LMU) scored 23 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bakken have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Horsens IC and Randers. Svendborg at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Bakken will meet at home league's leader Naestved in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Svendborg will play against Herlev (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
