Regular Season Round 10: Lorient - Berck 77-61

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Lorient (5-5) defeated at home 11th ranked Berck (3-7) 77-61 on Saturday. Lorient looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahim Saounera (179-1987) notched 12 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and power forward Quentin Losser (202-1999) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Lorient's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 25 points and 9 rebounds by forward Thomas Tshikaya (201-1992, college: Angelo St.) did not help to save the game for Berck. Swingman Dominique Gentil (197-1988) added 7 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Lorient have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Vitre and Orchies. Newly promoted Berck dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. They share it with Tours and Boulogne. Lorient will meet league's leader Toulouse on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Berck will play against C'Chartres (#5) and hope to secure a win.
