Everything went according to plan when first ranked Saarlouis (9-2) defeated at home one of their biggest challengers Mannheim (7-3) 92-83 on Saturday. Saarlouis forced 20 Mannheim turnovers and outrebounded them 52-36 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American center Jordan Camper (203, college: Lincoln, PA) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points, 20 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and the other American import guard Ricky Easterling (189-1983, college: Bridgewater) supported him with 24 points and 5 assists. Even 31 points and 8 rebounds by naturalized Russian Albert Kuppe (200-1988) did not help to save the game for Mannheim. Swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-1992) added 26 points for lost side. Mannheim's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saarlouis have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-2 record. Loser Mannheim dropped to the second place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
