Regular Season Round 8: Hammarby - Malbas 52-74

Another exciting game was played in Stockholm between sixth ranked Malbas and 5th ranked Hammarby where Malbas (3-2) crushed Hammarby (2-3) on the road with 22-point difference 74-52. Malbas outrebounded Hammarby 46-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. Guard Kasper Hagberg (186-1998) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Peter Moller contributed with 29 points for the winners. Center Noah Kelly (199-1997) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and forward Aaron Kodu (197-2002) added 12 points in the effort for Hammarby. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Malbas moved-up to fifth place. Hammarby at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Malbas will play against higher ranked SBBK (#4) in Sodertalje in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hammarby's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Stockholm to the arena KFUM Fry. 2.
