Very important is a road loss of third ranked Keflavik (4-2) against eleventh ranked Thor Thorl (1-5) on Monday night. Visiting Keflavik was defeated by Thor Thorl in Thorlakshofn 116-102. Keflavik was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 71-53 second half run of Thor Thorl. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists. Four Thor Thorl and five Keflavik players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Thor Thorl left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with KR. Keflavik at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Njardvik and Haukar. Thor Thorl will play against bottom-ranked IR (#12) in Reykjavik in the next round. Keflavik will play at home against KR (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
