Korisliiga top team - Kobrat (9-2) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Nokia (5-6) 100-62. The game without a history. Kobrat led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Danny Pippen (206-1997, college: Kent St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Denzel Livingston (193-1993, college: UIW) helped adding 30 points. Four Kobrat players scored in double figures. Forward Mikael Laihonen (202-1994) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Perrion Callandret (188-1995, college: Idaho) scored 6 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Kobrat have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-2 record. Nokia at the other side keeps the eighth position with six games lost. Kobrat are looking forward to face league's second-placed Kauhajoki on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nokia will play against Vilpas (#5) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
