The game in Deutsch-Wagram was also quite interesting. 5th ranked United (4-3) played at the court of seventh ranked Alligators (5-3). Alligators managed to secure a 5-point victory 83-78 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of United. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Alligators made 7 blocks. Ukrainian swingman Vitaliy Shorstkiy (195-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Spanish forward Alejandro Zapero (-1996) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Alligators moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted United dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Lions. Alligators will meet at home bottom-ranked Future Team (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. United will play against Rocks (#10) and hope to secure a win.
