The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Lliria as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Aljaraque) loss. Lliria smashed 7th ranked Tabernes at home 92-67. It was a good game for point guard Ximo Rodenas (186-1990) who led his team to a victory with 25 points.
