There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Castello 2 (4-5) won against on the road higher ranked Valencia 2 (4-5) 97-82 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Castello 2 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Power forward David Garcia (-2002) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and point guard Javier Trechera (-2001) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was swingman Pablo Luengo (192-2004) with 20 points and swingman Hugo Albert (190-2002) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Castello 2 moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 9 other teams including defeated Valencia 2. Castello 2 will meet at home Jovens (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valencia 2 will play against the league's second-placed Sueca (#2) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the LEB Silver just one year after relegation.
