Regular Season Round 9: Lommel - Giants B 83-67

The game between third ranked Giants B (5-4) and sixth ranked Lommel (4-5) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Giants B was defeated by Lommel in Lommel 67-83. It was a good game for Bram Schelkens (182-1998) who led his team to a victory with 32 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Center Toon Wesenbeek (200-1997) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Lommel players scored in double figures. Seppe Willems (202-1999) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Caspar Augustijnen (202-1999) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Giants B. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lommel moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Gembo BBC and Kontich. Newly promoted Giants B keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Ieper. Lommel is looking forward to face Limburg B (#8) on the road in the next round. Giants B will play against Kontich (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
