There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Duna Aszfalt (4-4) lost to ninth ranked Atomeromu (4-4) in Kecskemet 69-74 on Sunday. U.S. Virgin Islands guard Deon Edwin (190-1992, college: Kent St.) nailed 27 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and American forward Paul Atkinson (206-1999, college: Notre Dame) accounted for 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Slovenian Jaka Klobucar (198-1987) came up with 26 points and 7 rebounds and American-Dominican center Marques Townes (193-1995, college: Loyola, IL) added 8 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively for Duna Aszfalt in the defeat. Atomeromu moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Sopron KC and Duna Aszfalt. Duna Aszfalt lost their fourth game in a row. Atomeromu will meet higher ranked OSE Lions (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Duna Aszfalt will play against Kaposvari and hope to secure a win.
