Important game to mention about took place in Sofia. Sixth ranked Polytechnica (5-3) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Pravets (3-5) 79-78 on Sunday evening. They outrebounded Pravets 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. Guard Ivaylo Konstantinov (181-1980) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 6 steals to lead the charge for the winners and center Stefan Georgiev (206-1978) chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five Polytechnica players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Nikolay Ivanov (185-2001) responded with 26 points and 7 assists and power forward Danail Hristov (198-1990) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Polytechnica moved-up to third place, which they share with Vihar Aytos. Pravets lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Enigma Fireworks and Mambas. Polytechnica will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pravets will play at home against Fab Five BUBA (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
