There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Pozzuoli (0-9) was edged at home by tenth ranked Salerno (5-4) 63-60 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was point guard Giovanni Laquintana (187-1991) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Alessio Donadoni (197-1997, agency: SLN) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Senegalese center Iba Koite Thiam (205-1998, agency: Players Group) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and Cameroonian power forward Georges Tamani (198-2002) added 9 points and 15 rebounds respectively. Salerno moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 11 other teams. Pozzuoli lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost.
