Regular Season Round 10: Chomutov - KP Brno 80-59

The biggest surprise took place in Chomutov where host Chomutov (5-5) crushed league's leader KP Brno (7-1) 80-59 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of KP Brno. They outrebounded KP Brno 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. International forward Michaela Krejzova (184-1998) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Monika Fucikova (180-2002) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Chomutov players scored in double figures. International guard Petra Malikova (178-2002) produced 5 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Eva Kopecka (171-1996) added 10 points respectively for lost side. KP Brno's coach Marcela Kramer gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Chomutov maintains sixth position with 5-5 record. KP Brno at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Zabiny Brno. KP Brno will play next round against strong USK Praha trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Chomutov will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Zabiny Brno on the road.
