Regular Season Round 11: Roanne - Cholet 69-100

The most interesting game of round 11 in the ProA U21 was a home defeat of 3rd placed Roanne (8-3) by second ranked Cholet (9-2) who outscored them by 31 points 100-69. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Cholet outrebounded Roanne 41-22 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Tidjane Salaun (203-2005) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Naoll Balfourier (217-2003) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Alexandre Bouzidi (196-2004) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and William Beugre-Kassi (198-2004) scored 16 points. Five Cholet and four Roanne players scored in double figures. Roanne's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Roanne at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with ASVEL and Levallois. Cholet are looking forward to face Fos-Provence (#12) in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Roanne will play at home against Levallois (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
