Regular Season Round 13: Besancon - Feurs CTC 87-75

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Besancon (5-8) defeated at home 9th ranked Feurs CTC (5-8) 87-75 on Friday. Jonathan Boucaud (187-1995) nailed 21 points and 4 assists for the winning side and Mali point guard Siriman Kanoute (181-2001) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists. Mali forward Ibrahima Haidara (202-1992) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and guard Charles Gurgey (190-1995) added 17 points respectively for Feurs CTC in the defeat. Five Besancon and four Feurs CTC players scored in double figures. Besancon moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Tarbes-Lourdes and Feurs CTC. Besancon will meet at home Hyeres-Toulon (#14) in the next round. Feurs CTC will play against Lyon (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
