Regular Season Round 7: Kalush-PNU - Che-Basket 100-62

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Kalush-PNU (1-5) outplayed at home 4th ranked Che-Basket (2-4) 100-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Kalush-PNU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Che-Basket's 24. Kalush-PNU forced 20 Che-Basket turnovers. Forward Andriy Matskiv (198-1995) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Vitaliy Rudynskyi (193-1996) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Kalush-PNU players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by guard Vasyl Fedoryak (201-1994) did not help to save the game for Che-Basket. Guard Nikita Tsurkan (185-2001) added 12 points and 7 rebounds. Che-Basket's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Kalush-PNU maintains fifth position with 1-5 record, which they share with Vinnitsky Zubry. It was Che-Basket's third loss in a row. Che-Basket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Self Made.
