Regular Season Round 11: Slavia - USK Praha 81-92
Date: December 3, 2022
Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Slavia (3-8) was defeated at home by eighth ranked USK Praha (4-5) 92-81 on Saturday. USK Praha had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Mike Okauru (190-1999, college: UNCW) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import guard PJ Pipes (188-1999, college: Santa Clara, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. USK Praha's coach Francesco Tabellini used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward David Jelinek (204-1997, college: Northwood) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Slovakian guard Robert Rozanek (191-1996) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Slavia players scored in double figures. USK Praha moved-up to seventh place. Slavia lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. USK Praha will meet bottom-ranked Hradec Kralove (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Slavia will play against the league's second-placed Brno and will have a slim chance for a victory.
