Rather predictable result when ninth ranked TTT Riga (2-3) outscored at home 11th ranked Riga/Juniores (1-8) 90-43 on Sunday. TTT Riga held Riga/Juniores to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Riga/Juniores 65-24 including a 31-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when TTT Riga made 7 blocks. Center Marta Miscenko (192-1995, college: Wingate) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and forward Gunta Basko-Melnbarde (182-1980, college: Siena) chipped in 12 points and 13 rebounds. Riga/Juniores lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. TTT Riga will meet higher ranked LCC Tarp.
