The game with biggest result difference took place in Hamar. Local Hamar (8-3) outscored 5th ranked Hrunamenn (6-6) 108-76 on Monday night. The game without a history. Hamar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hrunamenn's 26. They outrebounded Hrunamenn 55-40 including 20 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a quality performance of guard Bjorn Asgeirsson (184-2000, college: Union, TN) who helped to win the game recording 41 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 16-of-20 shooting from the field) and the former international center Ragnar Nathanaelsson (220-1991) who added 8 points and 22 rebounds during the contest. Four Hamar players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Ahmad Gilbert (200-1996, college: St.Thomas, FL) with 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Hungarian forward Sam Burt (201-1994, college: FPU) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamar moved-up to second place. Loser Hrunamenn keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Hamar will meet Sindri (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hrunamenn will play against Fjolnir and hope to secure a win.
