Regular Season Round 14: GBA Lions - SP Basket 107-58

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked GBA Lions as it allowed them to take a leadership position. GBA Lions smashed 10th ranked SP Basket in Jindrichuv Hradec 107-58. GBA Lions made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. GBA Lions outrebounded SP Basket 61-25 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by SP Basket's players. Irish forward Mobi Ikegwuruka (191-2003) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Stepan Borovka (193-2000) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four GBA Lions players scored in double figures. GBA Lions' coach Andrej Cervenka felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Matous Pelikan (196-2001) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Matous Jurman (186-2003) added 13 points in the effort for SP Basket. GBA Lions have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. SP Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 11 games lost. SP Basket will play next round against Sojky P. trying to get back on the winning streak. GBA Lions will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Polabi in Nymburk.
