Very important is a home loss of third ranked Kotwica (10-4) against sixth ranked Dziki (10-3) on Saturday night. Host Kotwica was defeated by Dziki in a tough game in Kolobrzeg 62-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kotwica. Power forward Mateusz Bartosz (205-1987) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Rafal Komenda (200-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points during the contest. Four Dziki players scored in double figures. Naturalized American point guard James Washington (182-1987, college: MTSU) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Damian Pieloch (195-1989) scored 22 points. Dziki moved-up to third place. Kotwica at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Walbrzych and Starogard Gd.. Dziki will play against Zak (#7) in Koszalin in the next round. Kotwica will play on the road against the league's leader HydroTruck in Radom and hopes to get back on the winning track.
