Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Zornotza (7-3) defeated on the road 11th ranked Talavera (3-7) 86-80 on Saturday. Zornotza forced 19 Talavera turnovers. Guard Alberto Cabrera (187-1998) notched 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and point guard Oier Ardanza (194-2001) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Zornotza's coach Mikel Garita Onandia used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Even 20 points by American point guard Deshaun Cooper (173-1991, college: NW Missouri St.) did not help to save the game for Talavera. Elijah Mcray added 20 points for lost side. Five Zornotza and four Talavera players scored in double figures. Zornotza moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams.
