Leader E.Ashkelon delivered the ninth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 12th ranked E.Shomron (3-7) 80-76. E.Ashkelon looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Naturalized Polish guard Gal Gilinski (195-1995, agency: Avi Zilberman) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Dakarai Tucker (196-1994, college: Utah) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. E.Ashkelon's coach Avi Sukar allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American forward Keith Stone (206-1997, college: Miami, FL) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Amit Alon (180-2000) scored 16 points and 6 assists. Five E.Ashkelon and four E.Shomron players scored in double figures. E.Ashkelon maintains first position with 9-1 record. Newly promoted E.Shomron keeps the twelfth place with seven games lost. E.Ashkelon will meet league's second-placed Maccabi Rishon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. E.Shomron will play against E.Netanya (#6) and hope to secure a win.
