Regular Season Round 15: Lorient - Les Sables 92-66

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Les Sables (6-10) was outplayed on the road by eighth ranked Lorient (8-7) 92-66 on Saturday. Lorient outrebounded Les Sables 31-16 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Quentin Hanck (192-1993) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Naturalized Guinean forward Abdoulaye Sy (201-1995) helped adding 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Lorient players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized Iranian swingman Navide Niktash (203-1991, agency: BIG) with 19 points and swingman Brahim Dohou (194-1999) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lorient moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Rueil. Loser Les Sables keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Lorient will meet at home Lourdes-Tarbes (#10) in the next round. Les Sables will have a break next round.
