Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Kronberg (0-13) lost at home to first ranked Saarlouis (12-2) 91-75 on Saturday. Saarlouis made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Saarlouis outrebounded Kronberg 49-30 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Jordan Camper (203, college: Lincoln, PA) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side and Paulo Rato accounted for 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Florian Dietrich (203-2000) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and Leon Schicktanz added 15 points respectively for Kronberg in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Saarlouis. They maintain first place with 12-2 record. Kronberg lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. Saarlouis will meet Giessen Ak. (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kronberg will play against Ulm BBU 01 and hopes to get finally their first victory.
