Regular Season Round 7: Dynamo-MGTU - Stavropol 103-108

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Dynamo-MGTU (11-3) against fifth ranked Stavropol (6-7) on Saturday night. Host Dynamo-MGTU was defeated by Stavropol in a tough game in Maykop 103-108. Stavropol outrebounded Dynamo-MGTU 35-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Dmitriy Prokin (193-1997) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Danila Donskov (182-2002) accounted for 21 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Stavropol's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Artem Gaposhin (185-1991) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 assists and Ilia Aleksandrov (194-1981) added 23 points respectively for Dynamo-MGTU in the defeat. Four Stavropol and five Dynamo-MGTU players scored in double figures. Stavropol maintains fifth place with 6-7 record. Loser Dynamo-MGTU still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with BARS-RGEU. Stavropol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dynamo-MGTU will play again against Stavropol and hope to secure a win.
