Very expected game when 12th ranked Alginet (2-8) was smashed by sixth ranked Palma (7-3) in S'Arenal 99-69 on Sunday. Palma forced 21 Alginet turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Guard David Font (192-2000) notched 31 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Dominican-American forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-1997, college: USC Aiken) supported him with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Hunter Preston (201, college: Columbus St.) did not help to save the game for Alginet. Center Luis Verdeguer (205-1987) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
