Rm Valcea II did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 87-70 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Rm Valcea II. Cluj CSU managed to win third quarter 23-22. His fellow American import guard Lamar Hamrick (193-1998, college: Portland St., agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Hamrick is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rm Valcea II players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Mihnea-Tudor Brie (196-2001) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and Ciprian Albu (-2002) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Rm Valcea II maintains second place with 6-1 record having 3 victories less than leader Phoenix Corona. Cluj CSU lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. Rm Valcea II will meet at home Brasov (#4) in the next round. Cluj CSU will have a break next round.
