An interesting game for E.Ashkelon (10-1) which played road game in Rishon Le-Zion against second-ranked Maccabi Rishon (8-3). First ranked E.Ashkelon had an easy win 97-70. E.Ashkelon looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Maccabi Rishon's players. Naturalized Polish guard Gal Gilinski (195-1995, agency: Avi Zilberman) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American forward Dakarai Tucker (196-1994, college: Utah) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. E.Ashkelon's coach Avi Sukar felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Jonatan Mor (204-1995) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Rakeem Buckles (202-1990, college: FIU, agency: GoEmpire Group) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi Rishon. E.Ashkelon maintains first place with 10-1 record. Maccabi Rishon at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with H.Afula and M.Ma'ale Adum.. E.Ashkelon are looking forward to face M.Ramat Gan (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Maccabi Rishon will play against E.Netanya (#6) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
