Regular Season Round 15: Zlin - Svitavy 40-101

The game between Top Four teams took place in Zlin. 4th placed host Zlin (9-5) was smashed by leader Svitavy (14-0) 101-40. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Zlin. Svitavy dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Zlin's 30. Svitavy forced 23 Zlin turnovers and outrebounded them 53-31 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Four Svitavy players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Tomas Voslajer (211-1990) who recorded 7 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Daniel Szarowski (182-1999) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively. Zlin's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Svitavy. They maintain first place with 14-0 record. Loser Zlin dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Loko Plzen and Polabi. Svitavy will meet at home Olomouc Bbal (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Zlin will play against Prostejov and hope to secure a win.
