Regular Season Round 11: Aalst - Oostende 80-82

The most exciting game of round 11 in the BNXT League took place in Aalst. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed Okapi Aalst (5-5) to first ranked Oostende (7-2) 82-80 on Saturday evening. Center Haris Bratanovic (208-2001) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Breein Tyree (188-1998, college: Ole Miss) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Oostende's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Serbian Nikola Popovic (211-1997, college: Boston Coll.) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Jordan Walker (186-1997, college: Morehead St.) added 24 points in the effort for Okapi Aalst. Four Okapi Aalst players scored in double figures. Defending Belgian champion maintains first place with 7-2 record, which they share with Mechelen. Okapi Aalst at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Oostende is looking forward to face league's second-placed Kangoeroes in Mechelen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Okapi Aalst will play on the road against Antwerp Giants (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
