No shocking result in a game when first ranked ETB Miners (13-1) beat on the road 3rd ranked Recklinghausen (8-6) 76-60 on Saturday. ETB Miners forced 19 Recklinghausen turnovers and outrebounded them 42-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Devin Peterson (185, college: WCU) notched 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Bulgarian Milen Zahariev (190-1992) supported him with 19 points and 12 rebounds. ETB Miners' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by American forward Obi Okafor (198, college: Drury, agency: GoEmpire Group) did not help to save the game for Recklinghausen. Slovenian power forward Tine Kotnik (205-2000) added 20 points for the hosts. ETB Miners have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Loser Recklinghausen keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Ulm BBU 01 and Hamm. ETB Miners will meet at home league's second-placed Ibbenbueren in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
