Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Mamak (4-7) was outscored on the road by third ranked Samsunspor (9-2) 86-62 on Sunday. Samsunspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Mamak's players. It was an exceptional evening for Senegalese center Abdoulaye Gueye (206-1994, college: Georgia Tech) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Ege Yasar (-1996) accounted for 22 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Samsunspor players scored in double figures. American point guard Myles Mack (178-1993, college: Rutgers) came up with 16 points and the other American import Carlton Bragg Jr (208-1995, college: N.Mexico) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Mamak in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Samsunspor maintains third place with 9-2 record behind leader Cagdas BS. Loser Mamak dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Kocaeli and Haremspor. Samsunspor will meet Balikesir (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mamak will play against Bornova and hope to secure a win.
