Regular Season Round 10: Vinnitsky Zubry - Khmelnytskyi 62-72

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Vinnytsia where 4th ranked Vinnitsky Zubry (2-6) was defeated by fifth ranked Khmelnytskyi (2-3) 72-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Khmelnytskyi. Vinnitsky Zubry managed to win third quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khmelnytskyi forced 19 Vinnitsky Zubry turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Nikita Kohut (197-2002) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and forward Vadim Paliukh (190-1994) who added 13 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Khmelnytskyi players scored in double figures. Khmelnytskyi's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Yuriy Shkondya (188-1995) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Volodimir Furman (201-1989) scored 8 points and 13 rebounds. Khmelnytskyi moved-up to third place, which they share with Invasport. Newly promoted Vinnitsky Zubry dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
